12:00pm

A planned London Photo walk for the new season will be  the "Day of the Dead" Parade on the 31st October in Columbia Road. I plan to go, so I'd like to lead the walk. I plan on getting down to London late in the morning. I think the "Day of the Dead" Parade in Columbia Road will be about 1pm with a Mariachi band. Superb event not to be missed!

Come and join us. Further meeting locations later. Nearest stations: Liverpool St or Old St. Trains from Welwyn Garden City go direct to Old St.

Sat 3 Oct 2026 - WGC Photo Walk

2:00pm

Our scheduled a photo walk unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the intense heat. Re-scheduled, this walk will commence at 2.00pm finish 8.00pm.

The sun will dissapear below the horizon at 6.35pm giving you a chance to shoot at sunset and during dusk.

We want images which are creative and show the essence of WGC.  Think about producing different views of familar places.  Try reducing images to monochrome to show a more arty impression of the place we live.  Try different lenses and different techniques such as long exposures, multiple exposures and ICM....

Tue 29 Sep 2026 - (ZOOM) Speaker No 01: Peter Benson on "London Lights"

8:00pm

Our first speaker this season will be on ZOOM and it is Peter Benson on the topic of "London Lights".  With Autumn coming up at this time, it's a great time to go down to London and photograph the illuminated buildings at night time.  Peter will describe his journey in taking these images, the techniques he used and the locations he stationed himself at to get these photos.  This could be a good basis for organising an evening photographic trip to London.
